Our Professional Technician position was specifically designed to provide recent optometry graduates with the chance to kickstart their earning potential and start training sooner, eliminating the need to wait until they are fully licensed or credentialed before working at EyeCare Partners.

This unique opportunity is extended to new graduates who enter into an employment agreement with EyeCare Partners. Given the longer timeline associated with licensing and credentialing, our program empowers new doctors to start with ECP sooner, engaging in training and earning a competitive paycheck from the start. Professional Technicians who are hired for full-time positions are also eligible for benefits.

A senior mentor leader, selected from experienced and trusted doctors, connects with each new optometrist once they have joined ECP. The mentor is there to be an advisor and role model. Our mentorship program is designed to meet new graduates where their skills are and assist in transitioning into ECP. Each mentor is an instant resource for new optometrists when clinical or operations questions arise.

Our mentorship program is dynamic. Some participants choose to meet one-on-one, either virtually or in person. Others choose small group meetings to engage in discussions and team building. This program provides coaching on coding and medical billing best practices, guidance with inter-professional communications, as well as consultation on adaptive approaches to patient care. Mentees will also learn tools and methods that result in positive outcomes for the patient, doctor and office team. The mentorship program helps new optometrists identify and achieve their clinical and professional goals.
